Simrad PI Rip

With patented technology and awardwinning design, Simrad allows you to monitor if your net is damaged.

The Rip sensor is identical to the Catch sensor, but uses other rubber band sensors. It can thus be regarded as a second application for the Simrad PI Catch sensor.

Information from the sensor

The Simrad PI Rip sensor will let you know immediately if your net is torn apart.

Applications

Place the Simrad PI Rip sensor on the trawl belly behind the footrope, and use it to detect if the trawl is torn or in any other ways damaged by rocks or other roughness on the bottom. If this is detected immediately you can adjust the gear to minimize the damage.
